Beckah Shae is a Christian singer with some incredible talent. She mixes rock, pop, alternative, and even techno together for some really awesome songs. Who could forget her musical pregnancy announcement that went viral or her single I’ll Be Alright? She recently took Ed Sheeran’s song Shape Of You and gave it a Christian parody twist.
The song eliminates the “hook-up” element of the song and gives it a more worshipful. It is quite catchy and while it lacks the originality of Sheeran’s lyrics, Beckah Shae’s voice carries her version. It adds a soulful, reverence that only a Christian can put on a song. While it is a shame that this is not her original song, it is quite enjoyable to listen to.
If you would like to hear it, click on the picture above to listen to it on Beckah Shae’s official YouTube channel. The lyric video is quite entertaining. I am wondering if Ed Sheeran has heard it. No doubt he is probably ignoring it. If not, he should definitely check it out. I think he would enjoy Shae’s epic voice.
