10 Movies To Watch On Memorial Day 2018

Memorial Day is a good day to stand up and salute because we live in the United States of America. We have several branches of the military that produce incredibly brave men and women who stand up and fight for our freedoms. This long weekend, be sure to remember them and say a prayer for them when you sit down for your meals. If you get the chance, thank them for their service.

For this long weekend, here is a list of ten movies to stir up your red American blood and remember the fighting men and women who have sacrificed so much for all of us. I had another list posted at The Daily Wire, but these ten could not be left out.

Where Eagles Dare – Clint Eastwood plays an Army Ranger paired up with a British spy team sent to infiltrate a secret Nazi base during the Second World War.

The Green Berets – This movie stars John Wayne and tells a fictional story using the very real backdrop of the Vietnam War.

John Adams – This HBO miniseries follows the career of the second President of the United States.

She Wore A Yellow Ribbon – This John Wayne film takes place during the Civil War. It follows a unit of Union troops going behind enemy lines to stop a Confederate supply train.

Unbroken – Directed by Evangelina Jolie, while slow in some places, it tells the story of Louis “Louie” Zamperini, who was captured by Imperial Japan during the Second World War.

The Longest Day – Starring John Wayne and Sean Connery join incredible ensemble cast, this movie tells the incredibly story of the landing in Normandy during World War 2.

Gettysburg – This 1993 film tells the story of one of the most famous battles in the Civil War, based on the novel The Killer Angels. It shows the brutal reality of the War Between The States.

Lone Survivor – Starring Mark Wahlberg, this film tells one of the most brutal operations taking places during the Afghan War based on the book by Marcus Luttrell.
