Top 10 Best Star Trek Next Generation Episodes

“Space, the final frontier,” the words spoken by several actors, but none so epic as Patrick Stewart portraying Captain Jean-Luc Picard of NCC-1701-D Enterprise. Starting in 1987 and running through 1994, Star Trek The Next Generation redefined the franchise and brought a whole new flock of fans into the fold. I was one of these fans.

Here is my list of Top 10 Best Star Trek Next Generation Episodes:

10. Encounter At Far Point – The pilot episode introduced the majority of the main characters and brought in one of the most frustrating antagonists in the series, Q (John DeLancie).

09. Elementary, Dear Data – Everyone’s favorite android Data plays the role of Sherlock Holmes on the holodeck. After a mistaken order, Professor Moriarty becomes an enemy not only to the great detective, but to the ship.

08. Yesterday’s Enterprise – After a time rift, the predecessor Enterprise emerges from the past, creating havoc in the timeline.

07. Q Who – Q flings the Enterprise to the edge of the Delta Quadrant where they encounter the Borg for the first time.

06. Unification – This two part episode show Captain Picard and Lt. Commander Data go undercover to find Ambassador Spock on the Romulan homeworld.

05. The Drumhead – An overzealous investigator arrives after an accident occurs on board. She begins to harass the crew with her questions before targeting a junior officer for prosecution.

04. A Fistful Of Datas – Directed by Patrick Stewart, this story find Lt. Commander Worf and Lt. Deanna Troy trapped in an Old West holodeck program fighting Data.

03. Redemption – The Klingons enter a civil war after Captain Picard is called to oversee the installation of a new leader.

02. All Good Things – The series finale sees three versions of Captain Picard from different timelines  trying to solve the riddle of a mysterious rift in the Neutral Zone.

01. Best Of Both Worlds – The Borg invades the Alpha Quadrant and capture Captain Picard, assimilating him into their collective and forcing him to lead the assault on Earth.
