Favorite Movie Soundtracks Part 2

sheet music

Soundtracks make a movie come together in unexpected ways. The songs and scores help us feel the sadness, joy, anticipation, fear, and quite often inspiration. John Williams, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, Shirley Walker, Phil Collins, and a whole host of musicians put their best foot forward in delivering a fantastic score and song set for our favorite films. Here is my list of favorite soundtracks part 2!

Spider-Man Trilogy– Danny Elfman did the scores for the first two films and Christopher Young rounded it out for Spider-Man 3. Say what you want to about the films, the music was awesome.

The Magnificent Seven– Elmer Bernstein brought every moment of this epic Western to life.

Iron Man– Ramin Djawadi brought us a guitar heavy and award winning soundtrack for Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first hero.

We’re Back! A Dinosaur Story– James Horner gave us a look into the world of dinosaurs with this animated classic.

The Dark Knight TrilogyBatman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises came alive with the musical score by Hans Zimmer.

The Nightmare Before Christmas– Tim Burton’s stop-motion tale of the Pumpkin King Jack Skellington was musically scored by Danny Elfman who also provided Jack’s singing voice.

Jurassic Park– John Williams made us jump and feel every heart pounding moment of this Steven Spielberg adaption of the novel by Michael Crichton.

The Alamo– This 1960 film directed by John Wayne was scored by famed Western film music composer Dimitri Tiomin.

Independence Day– James Bond film composer David Arnold made us feel every moment of the alien invasion of Earth.

Transformers– Michael Bay’s adaption of the Hasbro toy line has fans divided, but the score by Steve Jablonsky was still epic.

Those are my picks. Did I miss any of your favorites? Comment below and subscribe to see part 3!
