Top 10 Star Trek Episodes

Who has not heard the famous line “Space, the final frontier?” William Shatner as Captain Kirk, Leonard Nimoy as Spock, DeForest Kelley as Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Nichelle Nichols as Lt. Nyota Uhura, and the rest of the cast were the first to explore the galaxy for a five year mission. It was the first, the first show to bring a franchise to life. It is a little dated, a little cheesy, and a little campy, but it is still a whole lot of fun.

Here is my list of Top 10 Star Trek Episodes:

10. The Cage – The unaired pilot showing the story of the Enterprise where First Officer Spock and Captain Christopher Pike (Jeffrey Hunter) engaging with aliens who can read minds. While the episode did not air, it was later edited in the two part episode “The Menagerie” as a flashback sequence.

09. The Squire of Gothos – The crew encounter a being named Trelane that can control “space, time, and matter.” His character concept was later used for Q in TNG.

08. The Trouble with Tribbles – Captain Kirk encounters a group of Klingons on a space station, meanwhile, the Enterprise becomes infested with Tribbles.

07. Court Martial – Captain Kirk faces perjury charges when he is charged with alternating his ship’s logs.

06. Return To Tomorrow – After years of no communication, the crew makes contact with a Romulan vessel determined to destroy the Enterprise. This is the first appearance of the Romulans.

05. Arena – A starfleet settlement is destroyed by a Gorn vessel, but a third party forces the Gorn captain and Kirk to fight one-on-one.

04. Errand of Mercy – Starfleet informs Captain Kirk that negotiations with the Klingon Empire is collapsing, soon after, they are attacked by a vessel, but another species the Organian, intervenes. This is the first appearances of the Klingons.
