Texas Governor Ricky Perry Announces Retirement

01 Rick_Perry“Today I am announcing I will not seek re-election as governor of Texas. I will spend the next 18 months working to create more Texas jobs, opportunity and innovation. I will work to actively lead this great state.” -Gov. Rick Perry

You can read the whole quote here. It is with a heavy heart that I write this article.  I did not always agree with Governor Perry, nor did I support his presidential bid, but I do respect him as the executive of the great state of Texas. He has done many great things and has stood up for Christian, family, and Conservative values. He has taken on the Barack Hussein Obama administration on their scandals and ineptness. He has been the longest serving governor in Texas history, so I do think he is making the right decision to not seek reelection.  Should he pursue other venture? Of course he should! He’s a maverick and a titan and I wish him the best!

  1. He is leaving our great state in better shape then when we gave it to him. That makes him a good leader in my book. I pray that God leads us to choose another governor that can do as good a job, if not better, then Mr Perry.
