It is time for the third edition of Just Imagine Fight(s)! These are imaginary battles between two famous fictional characters that can be from comic books, Saturday morning cartoons, anime or video games. I determine the advantages and disadvantages to each combatant, utilizing their skill, experience, and the equipment they have on their person. After that, I calculate who would win based on their abilities, giving you an explanation.
For this battle we’ve got two epic characters. Dark Horse Comic icon Grendel, the assassin and thief created by Matt Wagner. His true identity is that of Hunter Rose, a bestselling author is stepping into the ring. His opponent is the Real American Hero and leader of the GI Joe Ninja Force, Snake-Eyes. He is the silent, but deadly black-ops agent.
Grendel, War Devil:
Advantages– He is a master of fighting arts and quick with the spear. He is extremely athletic and has genius level intelligence. He is known to dispatch several enemies at one time. His forked spear has seen many deaths.
Disadvantages– Often is overconfident on his ability to battle his enemies. At times, this can lead to his getting trounced or even betrayed.
Advantages- An expert at stealth, combat, and swordsmanship, Snake-Eyes battles with the skill of a great warrior. He is brave, compassionate, and strong.
Disadvantages- Snake-Eyes is often too loyal. He lets his feelings towards his friends often get in the way of his missions.
Though Grendel would the opponent that would give Snake-Eyes a run for his money, in the end, the Ninja Commando would best Hunter Rose by using his over confidence against him. The GI Joe has done this on many occasions to Storm Shadow and other Cobra agents, he would be able to defeat the master assassin at his own game.
