Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music. -Ronald Reagan
I posted my first blog post June 26, 2012. It has been updated a couple of times to work with the changes.
Today, after four years of blogging, I have reached blog post Number 1,000. I reached the half way point on August 07, 2015.
It was tough and I did not always do the writing, movie or music review, reading recommendations, patriot essays, or political insights as much as I should have. At times, I became discouraged so I would stop writing for months at a time or would just share someone else’s post. That was a mistake. I should have just kept writing.
That is the decision I came to. Last year, I kicked it into high gear. I decided I would write at least once a day and make it to one thousand posts by my 2016 birthday. I expanded my topics especially the author resources, classic films, graphic novels reviews, Christian inspiration, and humor/satire. I also added the Librarium. Here I am. I made it! I did it!
It was tough and despite what President Barack Hussein Obama said in 2012, I did it myself. I had no help. I did have encouragement, but I did all the work alone. I sought after stories, I wrote poems, I did the research, and I saw all those films and listened to all of those songs. I’m not ashamed of my creativity.
I hope that each article brought some entertainment, knowledge, inspiration, or encouragement.
I want to thank all of the women who participated in my interviews as well as all of my faithful and loyal readers who have stuck with me. Thank you!
Now, I am going to celebrate my birthday. I am a Texan, so I will be eating barbecue steak. I am nerd, so I am going to buy a comic book. I am warrior, so I am going to train. I am a husband, so I am going to kiss my wife. I am a sons and brother, so I will talk to my family. That is how I am going to celebrate.
Help me celebrate by sharing, re-blogging, and reading some of my older posts. Be sure to subscribe to read more upcoming articles. Do not forget, August is Texas Month, so enjoy the posts based on the Lone Star State.
