#amreading – Top 10 Christian Inspiration Books 2016

This year, I read some pretty incredible books. They were inspirational and very encouraging. I highly recommend these books to help you in your personal life, spiritual life, and just life in general. Here are my top 10 Christian Inspiration Books I read this year.

Jesus, Name Above All Names by Joyce Meyer– this is a fantastic book about paying reverence and respect to the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is one of her classics and I highly recommend it.

Our Story Of Faith: How Water Of Life Was Built by Dan Carroll– Pastor Carroll tells the story of the founding of Water of Life Community Church in Southern California. It is a story of faith that bring you to tears, laughter, gasps, and cheers.

Lioness Arising by Lisa Bevere– This book is primarily for women. It is an excellent book that details following your calling and dreams, but also being a mother that is after God’s own heart. It is a great book for any women who questions her place in the body of Christ.

A Grief Observed by CS Lewis– Grief is so hard to put into words. It is something that can tear you apart from the inside out. This book details Lewis’ journals following the death of his wife. It is a sobering look at what we all go through.

Release The Power Of Jesus by Bill Johnson– Pastor Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding, California explains how the power of the testimony is precious. Let us keep it, use it, learn from it, and cherish it just like Jesus did.

The Case For Christ For Teens by Lee Strobel– Looking for a good resource for your teen to help them learn more about Jesus? Journalist and author Lee Strobel takes his original piece and revises it for teens to learn more about Christ.

The Man In The Mirror by Patrick Morley– What is manhood? Can you define it or understand it? This book definitely tries to. It is a reflective look at manhood and all of the little facets that makes what a man really is.

Sexperiment by Ed Young– Christians are often uncomfortable talking about sex. However, this is a great resource to discuss sex with your spouse. It covers what the Bible says about intimacy in a clear and concise Christian way.

Know Why You Believe by Paul Little– This is a list of compiled essays and writings from Little’s collections created by his wife Marie. It talks about the historical Jesus, covering His claims and His identity as our Savior.

No Perfect People Allowed: Creating a Come-as-You-Are Culture in the Church by John Burke– The book discusses how to welcome imperfect people into your church. It is a sobering look at how churches greets people.
