Music Review- The Chainsmokers and Coldplay: Something Just Like This

I do not review a whole lot of mainstream music artist. I prefer to do artists like Lindsey Stirling for Prism, though occasionally a song like Katy Perry’s Rise of Taylor Swift’s Out Of The Woods will interest me enough to garner a review. However, the Chainsmokers partnering with Coldplay to make this song Something Just Like This is nothing short of pure genius. It is one of the most incredible songs I have heard in a long time.

The lyrics describe a man who tells his girlfriend that he is not a superhero like Batman or Spider-Man, he is just a regular guy. The girl replies that she is not looking for a superhuman, but just someone who loves her. It is an amazing take on love. Instead of rely on sex, it talks about other important aspects of love like understanding, listening, and appreciating one another for who they are. I hope that the two bands create a music video for it. That would be amazing.
