I have reviewed several of the Gotee Records shining star Hollyn’s songs including Alone which features Tobymac’s son TRU and In Awe. It is one of the greatest songs on her new album One-way Conversations. It is pure magic from beginning to end. Another great song in Girl, which features the band Tree Giants on the album.
Girl is a calling to something great. The soft pop sound perfectly captures the lyrics and tone of the song. Hollyn’s voice carries through the whole song and Tree Giants compliment it in great detail. The song is shorter than most, but it still has a great edge to it. I hope that she creates a music video or at least a lyric video for it. I cannot wait to see what is next for Hollyn. This will be one great journey for her.
