Happy Independence Day 2017

Independence Day. July 4th. The Fourth of July. It is a day to celebrate when the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence. Ironically, it was actually signed on July 2nd, but the news did not go out to the original thirteen colonies until the fourth. The opening line is one of great inspiration.

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

The USA threw off the bonds of tyranny from overseas. A group of people who desired to be free took a stand against the brutality of their circumstances.

Everyone should celebrate. Every American, whatever their background or origin, should party with drinks, dancing, fun, and, of course, fireworks.
