#amreading – Unblemished by Sara Ella

Sara Ella’s debut novel, Unblemished, is part one of a trilogy. I have previously highlighted her author vlog as an excellent resource for authors looking for advice in the writing process. This fictional novel shows the talent she has not only for a fantastic plot, but excellent attention to detail.

The plot involved a young girl named Eliyana who lives a comfortable life with her mother and handsome neighbor Joshua. She is use to hiding thanks in part to a bizarre facial birthmark that troubles her. However, after he mother vanishes and she is stalked by someone in the dark. She finds out that the Earth she lives in is not the only one. There are mirror universes made up of reflections. She is pulled into one where a tyrannical king is holding her mother hostage and only Eliyana can save her.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It is an interesting blend of fantasy and paranormal. While I did find some aspects of the plot, specifically about the reflections, I did think it was enjoyable and easy to follow. While it is a good read for adults, I do believe it would be excellent for any young adult reader. The second book has been released and I can’t wait to read it as well.

If you would like to order your paperback copy of my debut novel Cacophony: A Tale Of Faith And Fear, click here. It is an incredible paranormal thriller about a group of demons trying to steal human souls by assaulting their church. The Messenger Gabriel, a Guardian angel Christopher, and the Seven Archangels are sent by God to stop them. It’s a tale that mixes drama, supernatural fiction, with a dash of fantasy.
