StudioJake Comic Book Review- Peter Parker The Spectacular Spider Man #6

Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #6 is the last one before Marvel Legacy kicks in and the series resumes its original numbering. Warning, there are spoilers in this vlog, but don’t definitely give it a read. One of the reasons I like this series, is that it does capture that retro feel of Spidey’s stories.

This series follows a rogue SHIELD agent who was once thought to be Peter’s secret sister. Though she is not, Peter agrees to help her clear her name. He and Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, begin to follow a trail of hacked phones that lead from the Tinkerer to the Kingpin of crime. The unlikely trio have everyone on their trail from criminal masterminds to SHIELD to the New York City police to the FBI.

This leads Spider-Man to the door of J. Jonah Jameson, the former owner of the Daily Bugle. The two engage in a conversation that starts off with the two contentious with one another. Jameson goes after Spidey’s career as a vigilante with the web-slinger reminding Jonah of all of the problems he has caused for the city. It goes back to classic history and is interesting.
