Timothée Chalamet As Batman? NEVER!

Actor Timothée Chalamet was the subject of much speculation this past week when his name was thrown into the ring of possible thespians to play Batman in the upcoming Matt Reeves film. Fortunately, this was proved to be a rumor. You can see my reaction on Twitter.

Chalamet is a fine actor, I suppose, but come on. I could see him playing Dick Grayson or even Jason Todd, but Bruce Wayne? No. There is no way that he could play the Dark Knight. It was about as insane as the rumor that Ryan Gosling could play the role. If either of those choices had been made, no doubt I’d be updating my past article: Top 10 Worst Batman Performances.

For those of you who are saying, “But Jacob, who do you think could play Batman,” don’t worry. I got that covered with this list. Yes, I think Brett Dalton is the best choice. Deal with it.

Now, one person on this list who I have yet to talk about is Jon Hamm. When I first wrote my choices, I did not think of him. But as Hamm became the topic of the rumor mill, I had to consider him. Honestly, I thought he could be a good choice, but then film director and faux nerd Kevin Smith endorsed him. Here are my thoughts on that:

Seriously, why does anyone listen to Kevin Smith? He’s a terrible host, his podcast is stupid, and he makes terrible movies. He also wrote a terrible Batman comic book. Sorry, side note.

Whoever Warner Bros. decides to cast in The Batman, let’s hope they do it with the same care they took for Wonder Woman than they did with Man of Steel and Batman VS. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Those are my thoughts. What did you think? Let me know in the comments below and tell me if there’s a graphic novel you’d like me to review. Check out my review of Black Powder, Red Earth: Yemen Vol. 3. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more posts like this one.
