StudioJake 100 Season Finale- Special Guest: Owen Benjamin

In the season finale of StudioJake, special guest Owen Benjamin comes on board to talk about the state of comedy, some insights into his performances, his favorite venues, and what he would do if he played Jim Acosta in a film.

Check out the episode:

Owen Benjamin gives some background into his use of the bear as his nickname. It is indeed a crazy story. One of the coolest thing about this interview is we get to hear his best insights into the comedy world. He talks about the politicization of stand-up and how streaming services and cable networks are still forcing unfunny comedians onto audiences.

Owen also gives insight into comedians and celebrities (like James Gunn) who have made serious moral faux pas and whether or not they deserve a second chance to be on stage. Of course, I could not help but ask him about some of his favorite venues, his versatility as a comedian, and how he works his routine before telling jokes.

A final note, I apologize for the lack of video. I had to do it podcast-style because my Skype recorder decided to mess-up. Despite that, it was a great conversation and Owen delivered a dynamite interview that is perfect for the season finale and one-hundredth episode of StudioJake.

Side note, I was mentioned in Christian Toto’s Ultimate Guide To Conservative Movie Critics. That was pretty cool.
