Chinese comic book publishing company Manlian Group has launched several English translations of many of their hit series including Celestial Warrior (seen above).
According their website, the Celestial Warrior series was a “jointly created by senior creative teams such as China, the United States and Japan. Qin Shihuang and the six kingdoms formed the seven major families. In the early stage, they developed pre-heated comics and simultaneously developed movies and games to form industrial development value.”
I received a promotional copy of Celestial Warrior at LA Comic Con where I was honored to meet artist and creator Austin Daxiong Guo. He is an incredibly talented artist and I was fortunate enough to win a rendition he did of Batgirl. It was most impressive.
On the graphic novel itself, it displayed a plethora of talent in both the writing and artistic aspect of the series. His characters, plot, and the overall vibe of the comic book were impressive.
You can find more of Daxiong artwork at the Flag Art Studios website.
