The history and breadth of hit songs should really be reflected in a ‘united’ song. Most acknowledge that Take Me to Your Leader and Step Up to the Microphone are the peak albums of the mid era Newsboys, where Born Again, Restart, and to a lesser extent Love Riot, were a strong new direction in the Tait era. This song feels like it fits in the praise and worship fazes of the band where they may have had great play on CCM radio, but really failed to make waves outside that genre.
