James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ Adds Nathan Fillion And Steve Agee

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn gained two new cast members for The Suicide Squad in Firefly star Nathan Fillion and comedian Steve Agee who has been confirmed by Newsarama to be King Shark.

For those unfamiliar, King Shark is a member of Justice League member The Flash‘s rogues gallery. He is a descendant of “The King of All Sharks,” a powerful shark deity who gave his power to the villain. Steve Agee is the ideal choice for the role.

As for Fillion, his role his yet unknown. Comic books fans know him as the voice of Green Lantern in several DC animated features, leading to speculation that he would play Hal Jordan in a live-action film. While it is unlikely that the emerald guardian will appear in the high-octane thriller reboot, there are several characters he could play.

James Gunn does not have a lot of competition. The previous film was not up to snuff. While Margot Robbie and Will Smith were good as Harley Quinn and Deadshot respectively, the movie completely miscast Jared Leto as the Joker. All Gunn has to do for his reboot is make it not stink and he will have a winner on his hands.
