Top 10 Scary Movies For Halloween

It is a night for dressing up as your favorite characters and taking your kids trick or treating. After you sift through the candy, checking for anything nefarious, you tuck your kids in bed and want to watch something scary. Well, it is Halloween after all. Need a couple of suggestions for leisure viewing for this year? Here are my Top 10 Scary Movies For Halloween:

10. Hero and the Terror- Chuck Norris stars as a LA police detective who captured a serial killer, who allegedly dies in an escape attempt. However, when the murders start again three years later, Los Angeles believes “The Terror” is back.

09. The Haunted Strangler– A black and white film stars Boris Karloff as a community advocate investigating the execution of an innocent man framed for the crimes of a strangle killer. However, soon the killer returns and he’s closer to home than you think.

08. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street- Johnny Depp gives a magnetic portrayal of an infamous British barber who is said to have killed many customers who visit his shop, though some doubt his historicity.

07. Se7en- David Fincher directs this story about two homicide detectives played by Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman looking for a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as inspiration for his murders.

06. A Quiet Place– A family avoids being eaten alive by monsters who can sense any sound, no matter how small.

05. Jaws- Steven Spielberg directs this movie about a fishing town that is terrorized by a gigantic great white shark that has taken over their beach as a hunting ground.

04. Psycho- Alfred Hitchcock directs a frightening tale of an odd motel owner who has a shocking secret.

03. The Sixth Sense- Bruce Willis stars a therapist who is treating a young boy who claims he can talk to dead people in this M. Night Smaymalan thriller.

02. Alien– In space, no one can hear you scream.

01. The Shining- Stanley Kubrick directs an adaption of the Stephen King novel of the same name about a man who starts to go crazy at the remote Overlook Hotel.
