Leaked ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ Film Redesigns Look Promising

Who can forget the disturbing first trailer that came out from the live-action adventure film Sonic The Hedgehog, based on the popular SEGA video game franchise? It gave folks literal nightmares, not just sleep ones, but walking nightmares where you pictured the horrific furry version of Sonic chasing you.

Fortunately, director Jeff Fowler announced that the character is going through a redesign following the backlash. While production companies Original Films and Paramount are being tight-lipped about the redesigns, a few leaked images, one of a box cutout and one possible poster have revealed a more promising look for Sonic. Check them out below:

Now, I still think Sonic looks a tad too much like a furry, especially with the blue fur arms, but this redesign is definitely a huge improvement from the one we first saw. Now, I am still skeptical about the casting of the movie, primarily Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. However, with Fowler’s willingness to hear the fans out instead of ridiculing them, it shows that he has a great interest in making the film enjoyable for old fans and news fans of Sonic The Hedgehog.
