Music Review- Switchfoot: Voices featuring Lindsey Stirling

Switchfoot is a rock band to comes from the mid-nineties. Their music has its moments and this team-up with Lindsey Stirling is one of their finest moments. Blending their rock sound with Stirling’s violin skills, the new single “VOICES” is unbeatable.

The song is about hearing both the cruelness people pour on another and how to deal with the so-called voices that are scattered all around, trying to pull someone down. Bringing on some words of wisdom about how to deal with the cruelty of the world, the song’s timing could not be better. With their rock instruments combined with Stirling’s amazing violin playing, the music matches the lyrics with precision. Likewise, the music video is impressive. With actors labeled with various insults, including lead singer Jon Foreman and Stirling, the front banner declares that these were real comments aimed at them. It brings a sense of realism to the message of the song.
