So I Was Wrong, THIS Is The Worst Movie Post Of 2019

I would like to retract my previous statement where I said that the first poster of Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) was the worst poster of 2019. In response to my intense criticism, Warner Bros. and director Cathy Yan said, “Hold my beer.”

From the movie’s Twitter page, they released this monstrosity of a post:

After that, they released a flurry of poorly designed character posters that only made me shake my head in embarrassment for whoever designed them. Check out the thread below:

Other than Quinn, if their names weren’t above them, I would not know who any of these characters. This is a poor way to make and advertise a film. The actors and actresses should at least somewhat resemble the characters they are playing. None of them do, outside of Margot Robbie.

The sad thing is, everyone really wanted to like this film. It was meant to be a sort of closer to the DC Extended Universe that originated with Man of Steel and carried on. However, after a series of poor casting decisions, bad writing, poor marketing, misreading of fan reactions, and only a handful of successes like Shazam, it appears that WB has not learned their lesson. With this obviously bad movie, the DCEU will go out with a whimper instead of a bang.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Tell me if there is a comic book, movie, or novel you would like me to review. While you are at it, check out my movie reviews of the 2019 Lady And The Tramp remake and Creed II. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more posts like this one.

Did you know my new fantasy novel “The Seven Royals: All Good Things” is now available on Barnes and Noble and Amazon? You can get your e-book copy at BookLocker.
