#AmReading Anthology- Appalling Stories 4

Appalling Stories 4: Even More Appalling Tales of Social Injustice‘ is an anthology full of satirical stories that will make you laugh until your side hurts. It features several authors including C.S. Johnson, David Dubrow, Ray Zacek, Paul Hair, Mike Baron, Henry Brown, Paul Clayton, Adam Howe, and several others. It also includes an exclusive foreword by political commentator and author Denise McAllister.

I am going to highlight my two favorite stories, but this does not negate the others, these are just my personal favorites based on my own tastes. First up, “Fatgirl Goes To The Fugly Pride Parade” by CS Johnson continues the hilarious story of Kallie Grande-White, a teen superhero who just wants to be a famous model. Second up, “Adios, America” tells the story of Cody who is above the legal age to stay, well, alive and now he must escape the United States to keep on living.

Each story makes you wince with horror, chuckle, and laugh out loud as you go from adventure to adventure with these satirical tales of social injustice and where its logical conclusion takes the country.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Tell me if there is a comic book, movie, or novel you would like me to review. While you are at it, check out my thoughts on the novels Till Human Voices Wake Us By CS Johnson and Backlash By Brad Thor. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more posts like this one.
