Summer Flicks And Streaming For Your Lockdown Needs

I joined The Steve Cortes Show on 560AM The Answer in Chicago to discuss what we thought are the best movies discussing summer. He also asked my recommendations on what movies and shows to watch while you are still on lockdown.

Check out the episode below:

While I said my favorite summer flick is 1967’s surfer-themed North Shore, starring the extremely talented Nia Peeples, Steve brought up Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. His choice is spot-on as it is the movie that invented the blockbuster, or so they say.

As for recommendations, I discussed Disney Plus’ Onward and Netflix’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events, which all have some fun for the whole family. If the grown-ups need something to enjoy, I brought up the new Netflix action-film Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth and the documentary series The Innocence Files. We also took a moment to talk about Cate Blanchett’s performance as Phyllis Schlafly in the FX miniseries Mrs. America.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Tell me if there is a comic book, movie, or novel you would like me to review. While you are at it, check out my conversation with WarriorWoman91 on film delays. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more posts like this one.

Did you know my new fantasy novel “The Seven Royals: All Good Things” is now available on Barnes and Noble and Amazon? You can get your e-book copy at BookLocker.
