Sony Pictures, after gaining a billion dollars from Spider-Man: Far From One, decided to snub Disney’s negotiating for a higher cut of a character that only belongs to them because they keep putting out sub-par films (okay, I’ll give you Spider-Man 2 & Spider-Man: Into The SpiderVerse.) Now, outraging fans, Sony says that Kevin Feige will no longer be apart of the process and that Spidey will be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I explain why this is an incredibly stupid idea.

I am fully on board with the Save Spidey campaign. Sure, Disney has done some shady things, but Sony’s greedy grab to cash-in on Spider-Man at the expense of the franchise just to spite the Mouse is ridiculous. Hopefully, they will come around to their senses, otherwise, it will take a box office failure to make come to terms with the fact that they cannot handle the franchise.
