Movie Review- Central Intelligence

Central Intelligence is a comedy film directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber is a hilarious spy themed movie. It stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Amy Ryan, Aaron Paul, Danielle Nicolet, Jason Bateman, and others.

Robbie Wierdicht was a loser in high school. His only friend was the popular Calvin Joyner. After an incident where bullies humiliate Robbie in front of everyone, Calvin helps him out. Robbie then vanishes.

Years later, Calvin is in a dead end job and is embarrassed to go back to his high school reunion. However, he gets a mysterious email from a Bob Stone who claims he is an old high school friend. On a whim, Calvin agrees to meet Bob only to find that it is his old friend Robbie Wierdicht, who has completely changed.

After giving him a place to stay for a moment, Calvin’s house is raided by the CIA where he discovers Bob Stone is a traitor. Robbie insists he is innocent and throws Calvin in the middle of a CIA plot to prevent terrorists from getting the United States satellite codes.

Johnson and Hart have incredible chemistry in this film. Their interactions were hilarious and it really made it worth watching. If it had not been for them, it would have been a cliched comedy that had nothing new to offer. However, their talent brought it together and rescued the movie.
